Walls!!!
We’ve had a fantastic string of helpers over the last couple weeks and have made a lot of progress!
Just 2 weeks ago AC got the very first beam up.
Then with some awesome helpers we got though a good chunk of the south wing. This was a bit grueling as we hadn’t gotten the special nails that AC could use in his nail gun so everyone was hand hammering in many monstrous nails.
It proved too much for my Uncle’s hammer. (Thank you to my Aunt Louise for the last 3 pics)
Its so exciting seeing walls come up and the place really start to look like a house instead of a stage. Not that the stage wasn’t plenty of fun 🙂
Then, our next set of helpers arrived as did our special nails and with a good system in place the walls came up so fast!
Look at all those beautiful walls! Its time for a little break for my hardworking house-builder. Then we start tackling the curved wall. Its gonna be complex but I can’t wait to see how beautiful it is going to be at the end of all this.
Thanks again to all of you, its been so much fun having our friends and family all come though and help us out. We really have a lovely community supporting our wild endeavors and we are so very grateful.
